3. How long is a typical therapy session?

Generally, a therapy session lasts about 45 to 60 minutes but its duration can vary depending upon the therapist’s approach and the needs of the client. Some therapists may also offer shorter sessions, such as 30 minutes while on the other hand, longer sessions may be scheduled for specialized or intensive therapies.

4. How often do I need to attend therapy sessions?

In general, therapy sessions are initially scheduled on a weekly basis to establish a strong therapeutic relationship and address immediate concerns effectively. However, as progress is made and symptoms improve, sessions may be spaced out to biweekly or monthly intervals.

5. Can my partner/ family join my therapy session?

Yes, you can choose to Confide as a family or with your partner.

6. How can I schedule an appointment with you?

The process of scheduling an appointment with us is given below:

  • Firstly, you’ll have to choose whether you are confiding as a person and want to take one-on-one therapy, whether you are confiding as a couple and want to take therapy with your spouse or partner or whether you are confiding as a company and want to take therapy with your staff or employees. 
  • Secondly, you’ll be required to fill out a form in which you’ll be asked about a few demographic questions, including age, gender, religion etc. And you’ll also be asked about your mental and physical health conditions.
  • Afterwards, you’ll have two options; whether you want to opt for a therapist yourself or whether you would want us to match you with the right therapist. And furthermore, if you want us to match a therapist with you, you will have to specify if you have a preference for the therapist’s religion, gender, age and language.
  • Then, a calendar will pop up in which you will have to choose the date, time and duration according to the availability of the therapist.
  • Lastly, you’ll be required to make a payment for your scheduled appointment.

7. What should I expect during my first therapy session?

During your first therapy session, expect to establish rapport with the therapist and share information about your concerns and goals. Our mental health professionals typically have a doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.), and some of them are licensed professional counselors. Our licensed clinical professional counselors have master’s degrees, licensed clinical social workers hold a master’s degree in social work, marriage and family therapists possess a master’s degree in marriage and family therapy. Furthermore, the minimum work experience that our psychologists have is 3 years while the maximum work experience of our psychologists goes up to 10 years.
